Workshops and Seminars

I offer workshops, seminars, professional trainings, and expert talks on psychology, sexuality, relationships, communication, and mental health.

As a psychologist (M.Sc.) and doctoral researcher in sexual science at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, I combine research-based knowledge with practical methods and a respectful, discrimination-sensitive approach.

My workshops create space for evidence-based learning, self-reflection, discussion, and practical skill development.

Depending on the audience and setting, sessions may focus on psychoeducation, interactive exercises, professional reflection, or concrete strategies that participants can apply in their everyday or professional lives.

All workshops are individually tailored to the target audience, organizational context, and learning objectives. Sessions can be offered online or in person and range from short expert talks to full-day workshops and multi-session training programs.

Workshop Topics

1) Mental Health & Personal Development

Stress Management & Resilience

Stress is a normal part of life, but chronic stress can significantly affect psychological and physical well-being. This workshop introduces evidence-based models of stress and explores individual stressors, coping strategies, and protective factors.

Participants learn how to recognize early signs of stress, strengthen personal resources, and develop practical strategies for dealing with stress and maintaining psychological well-being in everyday life.

Stress Management Prevention Course

In addition to individual workshops, I offer a structured stress management prevention course designed to strengthen participants’ ability to manage stress and prevent stress-related health problems.

The course focuses on developing effective coping and recovery skills, strengthening personal resources, and developing sustainable strategies for managing stress in a healthier way. It combines psychoeducation with practical exercises and takes participants’ individual stressors and experiences into account.

Topics include:

  • Understanding stress, stressors, and the biology of the stress response

  • Identifying individual stress triggers and stressful situations

  • Working with unhelpful and dysfunctional thought patterns

  • Goal setting and behavior change

  • Mindfulness and relaxation techniques

  • Strengthening personal resources and positive emotions

  • Developing social and communication skills

The course can be offered as a ten-week group course or as an intensive weekend course.

The prevention course is certified under Section 20 of the German Social Code (SGB V) and is recognized and subsidized by German statutory health insurance providers. The amount of reimbursement depends on the individual health insurance provider.

Mindfulness in Everyday Life

Mindfulness involves intentionally paying attention to the present moment with an open and non-judgmental attitude. Drawing on approaches such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), this workshop introduces practical mindfulness exercises that can help participants become more aware of stress, rumination, and automatic patterns of responding.

The focus is on developing a more mindful and compassionate relationship with oneself and others.

Overcoming Perfectionism

Perfectionism can be associated with motivation and high achievement, but it can also contribute to chronic pressure, self-criticism, anxiety, and exhaustion.

This workshop explores the psychological mechanisms underlying perfectionism, helps participants identify unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, and introduces strategies for developing more realistic, flexible, and self-compassionate standards.

Therapeutic Journaling

Writing can be a useful tool for self-reflection and emotional processing. This workshop introduces evidence-based approaches to therapeutic journaling and different writing techniques that can support participants in organizing thoughts, understanding emotions, reflecting on decisions, and developing greater self-awareness.

2) Sexuality & Sexual Health

Women’s Sexuality: Desire, Pleasure & Sexual Agency

What influences sexual desire? How does sexual arousal work? And how are our ideas about sexuality shaped by culture, relationships, and social expectations?

This workshop provides evidence-based information about women’s sexuality, sexual desire, arousal, and sexual well-being. It challenges common myths about sexuality and explores factors that can influence sexual experiences, helping participants develop a more informed, self-determined, and resource-oriented understanding of sexuality.

Menstrual Cycle Awareness & Sexuality

The menstrual cycle can be associated with changes in mood, energy, physical well-being, and sexual experiences. This workshop provides an evidence-based introduction to the menstrual cycle and hormonal changes and explores how cycle awareness can support body awareness, self-care, and health literacy.

Menopause & Sexuality

Menopause can involve physical, hormonal, psychological, and psychosocial changes that may affect sexuality, desire, intimacy, body image, and relationships.

This workshop provides up-to-date information about menopause and sexual health and explores the potential impact of menopausal changes on sexual well-being and intimate relationships. The focus is on a resource-oriented perspective and on ways of navigating sexuality and intimacy during this stage of life.

Vaginismus, Vulvodynia & Pain During Sex

Pain during sex is common, yet often remains stigmatized and difficult to talk about. This workshop provides evidence-based information about vaginismus, vulvodynia, genito-pelvic pain, and other causes of pain during sexual activity.

Participants learn about possible contributing factors, treatment approaches, and ways of communicating about sexual pain. The workshop aims to reduce shame, increase knowledge, and strengthen awareness among both professionals and people affected by sexual pain.

Pornography Literacy

Pornography is part of many people’s sexual socialization. Drawing on research from sexual science and the concept of pornography literacy, this workshop explores how pornography can influence sexual scripts, expectations, relationships, and ideas about sexuality.

Rather than condemning or normalizing pornography, the workshop promotes a reflective, informed, and self-determined approach to pornographic content.

Reproductive Health & Bodily Autonomy

This workshop introduces key concepts related to reproductive health, reproductive rights, and bodily autonomy. It explores individual, social, legal, and structural perspectives on reproductive decision-making and considers how social and institutional conditions can shape people’s choices and access to reproductive healthcare.

3) Relationships & Communication

Nonviolent Communication

Nonviolent Communication (NVC), developed by Marshall Rosenberg, provides a framework for expressing needs and feelings clearly while maintaining empathy and connection with others.

Participants learn the four components of NVC and apply them to practical examples from everyday life, relationships, and professional settings.

Consensual Non-Monogamy: Polyamory, Open Relationships & Relationship Anarchy

More people are exploring relationship structures beyond traditional monogamy. This workshop provides an introduction to consensual non-monogamy (CNM), including polyamory, open relationships, and relationship anarchy.

It explores research findings as well as common misconceptions and provides space to reflect on communication, boundaries, needs, agreements, jealousy, and relationship design.

4) Teamwork & Conflict Management

Conflict Skills for Teams & Organizations

Conflict is a normal part of collaboration. When addressed constructively, it can create opportunities for learning, development, and innovation. This workshop helps participants understand conflict dynamics, communication patterns, and escalation processes. Participants learn evidence-based approaches to conflict communication and practical strategies for addressing disagreements constructively and respectfully in the workplace.

5) Diversity, Gender & Society

Understanding Sexual & Gender Diversity

This workshop introduces key concepts related to sexual orientation, romantic orientation, gender identity, and LGBTQIA+ identities.

It also explores social norms, minority stress, discrimination, and practical approaches to creating more inclusive and discrimination-sensitive environments.
